In the 8th minute of the match Nilmar Dionísio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amadeu Guerra skillfully saved the ball. In the 13th minute, Gláuber Loyola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 15th match minute, Guaraquicaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chico Marinho to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Guaraquicaba's Marcelo Meireles got control of the ball when Robinho Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amadeu Guerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandrinho Arantes in the 28th minute of play. Caldeira FC's Amadeu Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilmar Dionísio in the 31st minute of play. A collision led to Caldeira FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. David Sá hit a great ball. Chico Marinho hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, Robinho Silveira made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Meireles. Guaraquicaba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 43rd match minute, Caldeira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. David Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Caldeira FC's Sandro Quadros got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Matheus do Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caldeira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Matheus do Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Meireles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matheus do Vale in the 60th minute of play forced Guaraquicaba's goalkeeper Marcelo Meireles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
