The audience was convinced that Rony Porto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Augusto Meira was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Zé Augusto Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rony Porto in the 18th minute of play. After 19 minutes, Rony Porto made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rony Porto made a kick off. Rony Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Augusto Meira having to interfere. Zé Augusto Meira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rony Porto's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. After 63 minutes, Henrique da Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quiririm and the Ziriguidum Futebol Clubr players grew even worse after the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lino de Amorim couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino de Amorim in the 73rd minute of play forced Quiririm's goalkeeper Sérgio de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Hugo Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quiririm's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Brasil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Augusto Meira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maurício Duarte struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Zé Augusto Meira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quiririm.
