Spectators: 7046 (Terracing: 5421, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wanderson Ferreira started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wanderson Ferreira in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cauã Damião saved Golden Lion from getting behind. 10 minutes into the game, one of Valencia Clube de Futebol:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Valencia Clube de Futebol:s Anderson de Mendonça showed great skill when he stopped Enéas Lira:s penalty. 12 minutes into the match, Enéas Lira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anderson de Mendonça. Valencia Clube de Futebol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enéas Lira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eurico Sampaio in the 19th minute of play forced Valencia Clube de Futebol's goalkeeper Anderson de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ruy de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anderson de Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eurico Sampaio in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Valencia Clube de Futebol's Juan Reis got a free kick in the 24th minute. Golden Lion's Dito Soares shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 25th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Anderson de Mendonça but with some difficulty. Anderson de Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eurico Sampaio in the 27th minute of play. With a little luck, Valencia Clube de Futebol's Anderson de Mendonça got control of the ball when Alfredão Mello tried to sneak it across the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Valencia Clube de Futebol's goalkeeper Anderson de Mendonça had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulinho Pinho. Paulinho Pinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Anderson de Mendonça made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Geraldo Vaz made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Valencia Clube de Futebol getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Wanderson Ferreira hit a great ball. Eurico Sampaio took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anderson de Mendonça. Anderson de Mendonça dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 62 minutes into the match, Eurico Sampaio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anderson de Mendonça. Valencia Clube de Futebol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eurico Sampaio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 76 minutes into the match, Valencia Clube de Futebol's goal looked a bit too open when Paulinho Pinho came free, but Anderson de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anderson de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geraldo Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anderson de Mendonça came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Golden Lion's Geraldo Vaz. But to his dismay, Geraldo Vaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 94th minute, Paulinho Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
