Cachimho SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Elias Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Amorim in the 16th minute of play forced União Autódromo's goalkeeper Guilherme Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Amorim received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Guilherme Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Amorim in the 34th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, Marcelo Amorim recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Guilherme Guimarães. Marcelo Amorim showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.
