Spectators: 7061 (Terracing: 5436, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Geraldo Vaz started the match with the kick off. Cauã Damião made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Mineiro in the 3rd minute of play. Marcel Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvério Valadares hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute Paulo Renato Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cauã Damião saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Golden Lion's Cauã Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Mineiro in the 14th minute of play. Igor Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geraldo Vaz in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to Golden Lion getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Eurico Sampaio hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Paulo Renato Alves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cauã Damião showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulinho Pinho got free with Igor Pontes in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paulinho Pinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Igor Pontes made a huge save. 35 minutes into the match, Golden Lion's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Correia came free, but Cauã Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Abelardo Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Igor Pontes came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Golden Lion's Paulinho Pinho. But to his dismay, Paulinho Pinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Parau EC's goalkeeper Igor Pontes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcel Mineiro to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Parau EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Renato Alves to maneuver through the defense. After 55 played minutes Golden Lion got a freekick which was hit by Paulinho Pinho. After a rather tough play, Golden Lion's Eurico Sampaio got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Golden Lion's goalkeeper Cauã Damião, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 68 minutes into the game, Tomé Dias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Parau EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golden Lion the free kick. Tomé Dias hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Parau EC's Igor Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Vaz in the 71st minute of play. After 75 minutes, Marcel Mineiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Parau EC and the Golden Lion players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcel Mineiro hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Cauã Damião made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Mineiro in the 81st minute of play. Abelardo Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcel Mineiro struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Cauã Damião didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Parau EC. Alfredão Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Cauã Damião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
