Spectators: 6669 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marcel Mineiro started the match with the kick off. In the 5th match minute, Gequi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juvenal Cavalcante to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Parau EC's Paulo Renato Alves tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Albertinho Loureiro lost his temper 12 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Parau EC! Parau EC's Mazinho Loureiro got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Josué Marquez managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Parau EC's Abelardo Correia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 31st match minute, Gequi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Dante to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gequi's goalkeeper Josué Marquez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Josué Marquez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abelardo Correia in the 34th minute. In the 34th minute, Abelardo Correia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Josué Marquez. The goal made the score 1-1. 38 minutes into the match, Gequi's goalkeeper Josué Marquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abelardo Correia. Guilherme Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Pontes having to interfere. A collision led to Gequi getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Valdo Cearense hit a great ball. If Abelardo Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Célio Velloso made a kick off. Vitinho Domingues kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Guto Pernambucano tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Igor Pontes. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-2 in the 53rd minute. Igor Pontes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guilherme Medeiros in the 58th minute. Abelardo Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Marquez having to interfere. Mazinho Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abelardo Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Josué Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erasmo Rosado during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
