After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Teodoro Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jaraguá's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Vasconcelos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jânio Freitas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 9 minutes, Edgard Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaraguá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Meirelles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Jaraguá's Genílson Bertassi got a free kick in the 13th minute. Jaraguá's Radoslaw Barniszke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iuri Munhoz in the 17th minute of play. Teodoro Vasconcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jânio Freitas having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Teodoro Vasconcelos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 30 minutes, Erivaldo Negri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the HOLANDA and the Jaraguá players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th minute, Erivaldo Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 38 played minutes, Jaraguá's Janusz Barowicz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jânio Freitas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jaraguá reached it. The supporters of Jaraguá booed when HOLANDA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabinho Mello didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Edgard Meirelles fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jânio Freitas, passed just outside the right post. Teodoro Vasconcelos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arlindo Valle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Jaraguá's Igor Bierfass got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Teodoro Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Teodoro Vasconcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jânio Freitas having to interfere. Iuri Munhoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radoslaw Barniszke having to interfere. Jânio Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Jaraguá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Meira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute Arlindo Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radoslaw Barniszke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquim Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Iuri Munhoz scored 0-1 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Radoslaw Barniszke, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Teodoro Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jânio Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Meirelles in the 92nd minute of play. In the 97th minute, Teodoro Vasconcelos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jaraguá fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1.
