When Washington Custódio fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cachimho SS's protests and gave Washington Custódio a yellow card for diving instead. Washington Custódio hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Washington Custódio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cachimho SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcel Mineiro in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Válter Santana saved Cachimho SS from getting behind. After 36 minutes, Mazinho Loureiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Parau EC and the Cachimho SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute, Mazinho Loureiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcelo Amorim to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Cachimho SS's goalkeeper Válter Santana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Cachimho SS's Jeferson Sousa got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Válter Santana successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Igor Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelo Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cachimho SS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Marcel Mineiro scored to the left of an out of position Válter Santana, making the score, 2-3. In the 90th minute Marcelo Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marcel Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Parau EC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
