Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marcelo Amorim started the match with the kick off. After 6 played minutes Cachimho SS got a freekick which was hit by Washington Custódio. Eugênio Moraes, 6 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Perivaldo Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cachimho SS's protests and gave Perivaldo Mendes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Marmelada SC booed when Cachimho SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perivaldo Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Washington Custódio kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Marmelada SC's Tarcisio Hoffmann got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Elias Maranhense put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Arí Simões. Válter Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardinho Figueiredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Elias Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arí Simões having to interfere. Tarcisio Hoffmann in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Figueiredo in the 32nd minute of play forced Cachimho SS's goalkeeper Válter Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 33 minutes of play Cachimho SS's Perivaldo Mendes was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Perivaldo Mendes hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Ricardinho Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marmelada SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardinho Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Válter Santana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tarcisio Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Válter Santana having to interfere. Válter Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Figueiredo in the 46th minute of the match. A hard shot 49 in the game by Tarcisio Hoffmann from a close distance when the talented Válter Santana managed to make a qualified save. Cachimho SS's players were relieved. The Marmelada SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cachimho SS were winning 0-1.

Cachimho SS's Válter Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tarcisio Hoffmann in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Leandro de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elias Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th match minute, Cachimho SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Amorim to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Marmelada SC's Tarcisio Hoffmann fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After 97 minutes, Anísio Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marmelada SC and the Cachimho SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 97th minute, Anísio Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
