Nestor Furlan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Guilherme Guimarães made a huge save. After having played for 11 minutes, Deivid Urbano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esporte Clube Bahêa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deivid Urbano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute, César Andrade reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Guilherme Guimarães. The goal made the score 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nestor Furlan got free with Guilherme Guimarães in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guilherme Guimarães was a little too slow when Hílton Barros got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 2-0. Guilherme Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deivid Urbano in the 29th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hílton Barros got free with Guilherme Guimarães in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sílvio Luiz Vargas kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Deivid Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deivid Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Guilherme Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Osvaldo Messias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Deivid Urbano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sílvio Luiz Vargas to make the kick off. After some careless play in the União Autódromo defense, César Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guilherme Guimarães. The União Autódromo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guilherme Guimarães should have stopped the shot. 58 minutes into the game, União Autódromo's Nuno do Valle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Inácio Vander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beto Gomes during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st minute, Beto Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute of the match Deivid Urbano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guilherme Guimarães skillfully saved the ball. Hílton Barros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guilherme Guimarães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. If Nestor Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hílton Barros in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guilherme Guimarães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guilherme Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hílton Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deivid Urbano struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Guilherme Guimarães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esporte Clube Bahêa. 83 minutes into the match, União Autódromo's goal looked a bit too open when Deivid Urbano came free, but Guilherme Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guilherme Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hílton Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 92 minutes, Nestor Furlan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esporte Clube Bahêa and the União Autódromo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Esporte Clube Bahêa's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
