After a defensive mix-up in Esporte Clube Bahêa's zone, Wanderson Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inácio Vander came out of the goal and Wanderson Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Inácio Vander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Dionísio in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deivid Urbano in the 28th minute of play forced Valencia Clube de Futebol's goalkeeper Anderson de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wanderson Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Inácio Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guto Cardoso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Inácio Vander came out and tried to block the shot, but Guto Cardoso slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 34th minute. Inácio Vander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wanderson Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 56th minute, Hortêncio Dionísio made a precise shot to the right of Inácio Vander. Esporte Clube Bahêa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 63rd minute, Guto Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inácio Vander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wanderson Ferreira in the 86th minute of the match. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esporte Clube Bahêa's goalkeeper Inácio Vander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valencia Clube de Futebol's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when César Andrade scored to the left of an out of position Anderson de Mendonça, making the score, 2-1.
