Tomé Tavares got in the 13th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Emerson Secco handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Nicolau's Tales Donato threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Yuri Souto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nicolau's goalkeeper Emerson Secco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomé Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emerson Secco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomé Tavares in the 39th minute of the match. Nicolau's Emerson Secco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reginaldo Ferreira in the 43rd minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Tomé Tavares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emerson Secco. Nicolau's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomé Tavares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After the first half Inhaumense FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Tomé Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tales Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Capixaba in the 59th minute of play. Emerson Secco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomé Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 60th minute, Tomé Tavares made a precise shot to the right of Emerson Secco. Nicolau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 68th minute Tomé Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emerson Secco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinei Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. After 89 played minutes, Nicolau's Nestor Carioca shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tales Donato came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nicolau reached it. Célio Linares kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Claudinei Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Inhaumense FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
