A collision led to Varejeiras do Asfalto FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Fábio Tavares hit a great ball. Michel Netto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Renato Fernandez hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Michel Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guto Gonçalves made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Michel Netto sent off a good shot on target. Michel Netto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Guto Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michel Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Paulo Renato Fernandez made the kick off in the second half. If Maurinho Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. Solitary Wolves's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varejeiras do Asfalto FC the free kick. The supporters of Varejeiras do Asfalto FC booed when Solitary Wolves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Renato Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Michel Netto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Varejeiras do Asfalto FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Michel Netto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guto Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiano Ceresso in the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christiano Ceresso in the 79th minute of play forced Solitary Wolves's goalkeeper Guto Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christiano Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Guto Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Michel Netto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guto Gonçalves was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Michel Netto might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guto Gonçalves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michel Netto ran back to his position shaking his head. Olavo Queiroz hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Solitary Wolves succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Varejeiras do Asfalto FC had controlled the match.
