It was Fabrício Galvão who took care of the corner kick. Claudinei Capixaba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferraz made a huge save. 46 minutes into the match, Montes Claros F.C's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferraz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudinei Capixaba.

The Nicolau fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Montes Claros F.C were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
