Spectators: 6661 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rogério Prado started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silas Vinhas during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Boca do Mato FR booed when Luiz Bernardo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silas Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Botelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílton Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Augusto de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Prado in the 19th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Luiz Bernardo FC's zone, Evandro da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Botelho came out of the goal and Evandro da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute Evandro da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Alberto Rosa struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Augusto de Medeiros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luiz Bernardo FC. 32 minutes into the match, Rogério Prado notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Boca do Mato FR's Augusto de Medeiros. Augusto de Medeiros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Rogério Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mauro Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro da Costa in the 43rd minute of play. Gabriel Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 46 minutes in the game, Amílton Freitas dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal.

The wind increased when Evandro da Costa made the kick off in the second half. Rogério Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto de Medeiros having to interfere. Boca do Mato FR's Augusto de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Prado in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Boca do Mato FR's Natã Valadares got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Evandro da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca do Mato FR's supporters rose to their feet, but Evandro da Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauro Botelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 82 played minutes Luiz Bernardo FC got a freekick which was hit by Sidney Luz. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Mauro Botelho successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mauro Botelho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amílton Freitas went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Vladimir Fontes hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Rogério Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Augusto de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edvaldo Pimenta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
