The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Benê Miranda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonardo Pinheiro. Joffily EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benê Miranda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Claudinho Vander came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Joffily EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinho Vander couldn't finish the play. Diamantino Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Joffily EC booed when Okay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlinhos Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joffily EC's Diamantino Teles got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Okay's Juarês Arantes got a free kick in the 44th minute. If Diamantino Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 56 played minutes Joffily EC got a freekick which was hit by Kléberson Siqueira. 59 minutes into the match, Okay's goal looked a bit too open when Diamantino Teles came free, but Jean Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benê Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Leonardo Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Benê Miranda made a precise shot to the right of Leonardo Pinheiro. Joffily EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Claudinho Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Claudinho Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Okay supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Okay would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
