After a defensive mix-up in Boca do Mato FR's zone, Marcus Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto de Medeiros came out of the goal and Marcus Melo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augusto de Medeiros was a little too slow when Marcus Melo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-4. Augusto de Medeiros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mateus Moura in the 76th minute. In the 83rd minute, Marcus Melo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mateus Moura might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augusto de Medeiros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mateus Moura ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcus Melo in the 88th managed to get into a good position.
