The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th match minute, PES United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís-Carlos Prestes to maneuver through the defense. Marco Barral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evaristo de Alcântara's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After 29 played minutes PES United got a freekick which was hit by André Luiz Diniz. PES United's Marco Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo de Alcântara in the 42nd minute of play. Marco Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. With a little luck, Juiz de Fora Team's Juninho Maranhense got control of the ball when Batuğ Parskan tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Batuğ Parskan made the kick off in the second half. Kléber Baiano struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Juninho Maranhense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PES United. After a defensive mix-up in Juiz de Fora Team's zone, Batuğ Parskan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juninho Maranhense came out of the goal and Batuğ Parskan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evaristo de Alcântara who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Marco Barral when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 68th minute Batuğ Parskan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís-Carlos Prestes during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luís-Carlos Prestes hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Primeiro Ponta was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 73rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. Juiz de Fora Team's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
