Spectators: 5100 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 100) Frederico Fantini started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edvaldo de Castro in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felippe Peres saved VASCO from getting behind. After 6 played minutes Assis AD got a freekick which was hit by Severino Félix. VASCO's Álvaro de Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Michel Arantes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Fellipe Rosa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Severino Félix hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the game's 13th minute VASCO's Luís Gustavo Souza took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Fellipe Rosa and thus the score was 1-0. In the 20th minute, Michel Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frederico Fantini struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Felippe Peres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Assis AD. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Álvaro de Lima in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fellipe Rosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fellipe Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro de Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Assis AD's Severino Félix got a free kick in the 40th minute. Álvaro de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Diguinho Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Álvaro de Lima stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Felippe Peres didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 52nd minute, which inside left pole to 3-1. After 60 minutes of play, VASCO's Michel Arantes made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fellipe Rosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Arantes in the 68th minute of play forced Assis AD's goalkeeper Fellipe Rosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severino Félix got his second yellow card in the match during the 69th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Frederico Fantini helped the player get up and apologised. After 75 played minutes Assis AD got a freekick which was hit by Diguinho Passos. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Kaká Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot. VASCO's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaká Paranaense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fellipe Rosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the game, Assis AD's Edvaldo de Castro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Felippe Peres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. VASCO walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
