In the 17th minute, Acácio Motta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coapoa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Acácio Motta struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Armando Coutinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coapoa. In the 26th minute, Acácio Motta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armando Coutinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Acácio Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Coutinho having to interfere. When Rodriguinho Pinho fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cosmos Futebol Clube's protests and gave Rodriguinho Pinho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Rodriguinho Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Acácio Motta came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Coapoa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Acácio Motta couldn't finish the play. Armando Coutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Acácio Motta in the 43rd minute of play. Enéas Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Coutinho having to interfere. The Cosmos Futebol Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Coapoa were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Acácio Motta made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Coapoa's Acácio Motta got a free kick in the 51st minute. Kléber Rossi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armando Coutinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Acácio Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Armando Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Acácio Motta during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Acácio Motta hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Edvaldo Saraiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 82nd match minute, Cosmos Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurício de Souza to maneuver through the defense. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Armando Coutinho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 85th minute, Coapoa's Acácio Motta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. In the 97th minute, Edvaldo Saraiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amílton Gonçalves was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Coapoa's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
