Spectators: 7295 (Terracing: 5473, Seating: 1677, VIP seats: 145) Evandro Gonçalves made the kick off and thus started the match. After 7 minutes, Natanael Souza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Governador Sarney FC and the Ipe EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aloísio Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raí Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdir das Neves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Aloísio Veloso made a huge save. Aloísio Veloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdir das Neves in the 18th minute. Aloísio Veloso was a little too slow when Raí Barreto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-0. After having played for 24 minutes, Valdir das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Governador Sarney FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdir das Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Teixeira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aloísio Veloso came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Teixeira slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 26th minute. Evandro Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei Vale having to interfere. Sidnei Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Daniel Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With his leg Aloísio Veloso managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Governador Sarney FC's Valdir das Neves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ipe EC's Aloísio Veloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Ipe EC from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdir das Neves made a kick off. Governador Sarney FC's Sidnei Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Gonçalves in the 51st minute of play. Emílio Dantas hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Aloísio Veloso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdir das Neves's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Aloísio Veloso came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Governador Sarney FC's Valdir das Neves. But to his dismay, Valdir das Neves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After a rather tough play, Ipe EC's Rogério Meirelles got a free kick in the 59th minute. Aloísio Veloso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdir das Neves's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Valdir das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Aloísio Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute of the match Silvinho Siqueira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aloísio Veloso skillfully saved the ball. Valdir das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloísio Veloso having to interfere. In the 73rd match minute, Governador Sarney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. Silvinho Siqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Sidnei Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evandro Gonçalves in the 76th minute of the match. After 80 played minutes Governador Sarney FC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Teixeira. Sidnei Vale made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Raúl Romero sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Ipe EC's Chico Baptista got a free kick in the 84th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ipe EC's zone, Valdir das Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aloísio Veloso came out of the goal and Valdir das Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valdir das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloísio Veloso having to interfere. Ipe EC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
