Gabriel Capixaba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nildo Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remo Falcão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Umberto Velloso made a huge save. 29 minutes into the match, AS Novelli's goalkeeper Umberto Velloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Remo Falcão. 30 minutes into the game, one of AS Novelli:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Umberto Velloso made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Evandro Tinoco sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Rubinho Vargas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Umberto Velloso was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Pegasus FC's Remo Falcão got a free kick in the 37th minute. Evandro Tinoco scored 3-0 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Umberto Velloso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Umberto Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcinho de Queirós in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 54 played minutes Pegasus FC got a freekick which was hit by Remo Falcão. In the 58th minute Evandro Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umberto Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AS Novelli's Umberto Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Tinoco in the 60th minute of play. Remo Falcão struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Umberto Velloso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pegasus FC. The supporters of Pegasus FC booed when AS Novelli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Capixaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Umberto Velloso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rubinho Vargas went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Umberto Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remo Falcão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cauã Cerezo hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pegasus FC had played much better football throughout.
