Umberto Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deivid Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gabriel Capixaba made a kick off. Diogo Rocha hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Jonathan Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Capixaba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nildo Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Jonathan Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 minutes of play, AS Novelli's Gabriel Capixaba made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Soares was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 66th minute, Umbilino SS's Luiz Guilherme Toscano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Umberto Velloso. Umberto Velloso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 68th match minute, AS Novelli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nildo Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Umberto Velloso acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sílvio Luiz Valladares. With a little luck, AS Novelli's Umberto Velloso got control of the ball when Deivid Vaz tried to sneak it across the goal line. AS Novelli's Umberto Velloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save AS Novelli from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Guilherme Toscano in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Umberto Velloso saved AS Novelli from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Guilherme Toscano in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Umberto Velloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 82 minutes into the match, Sílvio Luiz Valladares sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Umberto Velloso threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Sílvio Luiz Valladares this time. Luiz Guilherme Toscano might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Umberto Velloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luiz Guilherme Toscano ran back to his position shaking his head. Deivid Vaz took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Umberto Velloso. Umberto Velloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Jonathan Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Capixaba in the 92nd minute of play. Amauri Rocha hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. If Ademar Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the match, AS Novelli's Gabriel Capixaba sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Soares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
