Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luiz Guilherme Toscano kicked off to start the match. Jonathan Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcinho de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Luiz Paulo Souza hit a great ball. Rafinha Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Guilherme Toscano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Varzeado's goalkeeper Rafinha Diniz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcinho de Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hermínio Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Jonathan Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Varzeado's Marcinho de Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Deivid Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Rafinha Diniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermínio Botelho in the 41st minute of play forced Umbilino SS's goalkeeper Jonathan Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcinho de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Soares having to interfere. Josué Cardoso charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josué Cardoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Umbilino SS getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Josué Cardoso hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Hermínio Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Varzeado's supporters rose to their feet, but Hermínio Botelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 61 minutes into the match, Varzeado's Hermínio Botelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Soares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Deivid Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafinha Diniz having to interfere. Umbilino SS's Jonathan Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcinho de Alcântara in the 67th minute of play. Luiz Guilherme Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Rafinha Diniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute Luiz Guilherme Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafinha Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Guilherme Toscano couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the match, Varzeado's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Guilherme Toscano came free, but Rafinha Diniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sílvio Luiz Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Umbilino SS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Giuseppe Quirino was slow to take the kick. During this time Varzeado's players had a chance to rest.
