Cícero Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Valdir das Neves dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cícero Maia, 3-0. Valdir das Neves might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cícero Maia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdir das Neves ran back to his position shaking his head. Geraldo Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Cícero Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdir das Neves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Cícero Maia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Valdir das Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cícero Maia acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 45th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Silvinho Siqueira. Cícero Maia was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Silvinho Siqueira.

Valdir das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Geraldo Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Cícero Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdir das Neves struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Cícero Maia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Governador Sarney FC. Cícero Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdir das Neves in the 61st minute of play. Germano Vianna charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Germano Vianna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Quincos SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Governador Sarney FC a penalty, 69 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Teixeira, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Quincos SC's Cícero Maia. 4-0. A collision led to Governador Sarney FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Valdir das Neves hit a great ball. Valdir das Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Geraldo Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Governador Sarney FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Geraldo Freitas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cícero Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cícero Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Valdir das Neves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cícero Maia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Valdir das Neves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Cícero Maia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 98 minutes into the match, Quincos SC's goal looked a bit too open when Raí Barreto came free, but Cícero Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cícero Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raí Barreto in the 99th minute of play. Governador Sarney FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
