Jonathan Soares was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 21st minute, Osvaldo Maia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adalberto Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jonathan Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Fábio Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Soares having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Adalberto Sarmento managed to get in a good position for a shot. INTER DE MILÃO F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Adalberto Sarmento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Fábio Sá recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adalberto Sarmento scored 1-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Soares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luís Fábio Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Jonathan Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Guilherme Toscano to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dadá Santana during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Osvaldo Maia's late challenge caught a Umbilino SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldo Maia helped the player get up and apologised. 81 minutes into the match, Umbilino SS's Sílvio Luiz Valladares broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Luiz Guilherme Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute.
