Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rubinho Vargas got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Pegasus FC's Marcinho de Queirós got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Ipe EC's Rafa de Alcântara tried to score from far away in the 4th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Pegasus FC's zone, Evandro Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Adolfo Ramos came out of the goal and Evandro Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. During the 6th minute of the match Marcinho de Queirós completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Marcinho de Queirós a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Marcinho de Queirós hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Evandro Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramiro Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Evandro Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Adolfo Ramos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evandro Gonçalves's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ipe EC's zone, Evandro Tinoco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aloísio Veloso came out of the goal and Evandro Tinoco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aloísio Veloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evandro Tinoco in the 31st minute. In the 42nd match minute, Pegasus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remo Falcão to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Evandro Gonçalves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Adolfo Ramos was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. If Evandro Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evandro Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evandro Gonçalves made a kick off. Raúl Romero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but João Adolfo Ramos made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Pegasus FC's zone, Raúl Romero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Adolfo Ramos came out of the goal and Raúl Romero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th match minute, Ipe EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão França to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute, Ramiro Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Evandro Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pegasus FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Evandro Tinoco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aloísio Veloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Evandro Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Pegasus FC's Evandro Tinoco got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute, one of Ipe EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ipe EC. In the 79th minute there was a penalty for Pegasus FC. Murilo Novaes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Aloísio Veloso. 2-0. Evandro Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. João Adolfo Ramos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ipe EC. Rogério Meirelles hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Aloísio Veloso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evandro Tinoco went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. When Evandro Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Ipe EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evandro Gonçalves couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute, Raúl Romero fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of João Adolfo Ramos, passed just outside the right post. João Adolfo Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evandro Gonçalves in the 98th minute of the match. Pegasus FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
