Cícero Maia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Adalberto Sarmento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cícero Maia having to make a save. If Adalberto Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reynaldo Trevisan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Víktor Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Ademar Carneiro notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of INTER DE MILÃO F.C's Víktor Novaes. Víktor Novaes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cícero Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adalberto Sarmento in the 41st minute of the match. Adalberto Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero Maia having to interfere. In the 45th play minute Luís Fábio Sá came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cícero Maia. 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adalberto Sarmento made a kick off. Cícero Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Sarmento, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Víktor Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo de Godoi in the 66th minute of play. In the 71st minute, one of INTER DE MILÃO F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for INTER DE MILÃO F.C. In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Quincos SC. William Donatello stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Víktor Novaes. 3-2. If Luís Fábio Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th match minute, Quincos SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Trevisan to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute of the match INTER DE MILÃO F.C got a corner. Quincos SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eugênio Amorim ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Eugênio Amorim almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Quincos SC's Cícero Maia did a great save. In the 91st minute Haroldo de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Víktor Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Quincos SC's zone, Adalberto Sarmento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cícero Maia came out of the goal and Adalberto Sarmento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute of the match Eugênio Amorim sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cícero Maia skillfully saved the ball. 98 minutes into the match, Quincos SC's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Sarmento came free, but Cícero Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. INTER DE MILÃO F.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
