When Giuseppe Quirino fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Varzeado's protests and gave Giuseppe Quirino a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Varzeado fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! If Hermínio Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raúl Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Rafinha Diniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Ipe EC's Evandro Gonçalves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafinha Diniz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marcinho de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloísio Veloso having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Didi Donato in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aloísio Veloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raúl Romero got free with Rafinha Diniz in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Varzeado's Didi Donato got a free kick in the 28th minute. Rafinha Diniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evandro Gonçalves in the 31st minute of the match. Evandro Gonçalves received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rafinha Diniz came out and tried to block the shot, but Evandro Gonçalves slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 34th minute. A collision led to Ipe EC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Raúl Romero hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, Varzeado's goal looked a bit too open when Evandro Gonçalves came free, but Rafinha Diniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evandro Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafinha Diniz having to interfere. Rafinha Diniz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Evandro Gonçalves showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 48 minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcinho de Alcântara made a kick off. Raúl Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Rafinha Diniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Raúl Romero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Evandro Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raúl Romero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafinha Diniz having to make a save. 63 minutes into the match, Ipe EC's Evandro Gonçalves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafinha Diniz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Raúl Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafinha Diniz having to interfere. When Raúl Romero came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Ipe EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raúl Romero couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evandro Gonçalves in the 72nd minute of play forced Varzeado's goalkeeper Rafinha Diniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafinha Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Evandro Gonçalves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafinha Diniz was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After 90 minutes, Raúl Romero made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Varzeado's Rafinha Diniz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Evandro Gonçalves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafinha Diniz having to make a save. Ipe EC's Raúl Romero got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evandro Gonçalves got in the 99th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Rafinha Diniz handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar.
