When Reynaldo Trevisan fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quincos SC's protests and gave Reynaldo Trevisan a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes Quincos SC got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Trevisan. Cícero Maia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomé Madureira went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Cícero Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomé Madureira, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Tomé Madureira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cícero Maia. Quincos SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomé Madureira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ademar Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edu Leite having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Carlos Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luziania SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Godoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cícero Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edu Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo de Godoi in the 33rd minute of the match. Haroldo de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Edu Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Quincos SC's Haroldo de Godoi got a free kick in the 36th minute. If Carlos Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomé Madureira in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cícero Maia saved Quincos SC from getting behind. 45 minutes into the match, Carlos Godoi notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Quincos SC's Cícero Maia. Cícero Maia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Haroldo de Godoi to strike the kick off in the second half. Quincos SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by William Donatello in the 53rd minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Luziania SC's goalie and right to Reynaldo Trevisan. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Luziania SC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Edu Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo de Godoi in the 55th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, Quincos SC's Haroldo de Godoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edu Leite made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Tomé Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero Maia having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Tomé Madureira took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Cícero Maia to make any attempt to save it. In the 73rd minute Ademar Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edu Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 74 played minutes Quincos SC got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Carneiro. Edu Leite didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Haroldo de Godoi went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Luziania SC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
