If Manfredo Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 minutes of play, Fenerbatman's Luiz Fábio Quintal made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elias Gonçalves was left in no man's land by his defense there! Adilson Pena hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute of the match, Manfredo Valladares tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Flávio Vaz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Elias Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Quintal in the 22nd minute of play. Adilson Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Fenerbatman's goalkeeper Flávio Vaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Duarte da Silva. Fenerbatman's Flávio Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dito Pontes in the 34th minute of play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Fenerbatman's goalkeeper Flávio Vaz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Duarte da Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Duarte da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Manfredo Valladares made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Fenerbatman defense, Dito Pontes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flávio Vaz. The Fenerbatman fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flávio Vaz should have stopped the shot. Flávio Vaz came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Itumirim's Manfredo Valladares. But to his dismay, Manfredo Valladares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Luiz Fábio Quintal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Elias Gonçalves made a huge save. Duarte da Silva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flávio Vaz having to make a save. Abelardo Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Vaz having to interfere. Gilvan da Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilvan da Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 69 played minutes Fenerbatman got a freekick which was hit by Gilvan da Silva. Flávio Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Leal in the 71st minute of play. Manfredo Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Flávio Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abelardo Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flávio Vaz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abelardo Leal went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. In the 91st minute, Duarte da Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flávio Vaz was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Duarte da Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Itumirim's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
