An unexpectedly hard shot by William Lima in the 36th minute of play forced Fenerbatman's goalkeeper Flávio Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flávio Vaz came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Macucu's William Lima. But to his dismay, William Lima quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 46 minutes of play, Macucu's Sandrinho de Carvalho made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flávio Vaz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Fenerbatman players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Macucu were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuca Carvalho to make the kick off. José Carlos Alcântara might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Renan de Alcântara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Carlos Alcântara ran back to his position shaking his head. José Carlos Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. William Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed William Lima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Macucu's William Lima got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 64th match minute, Macucu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pedro Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. José Carlos Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renan de Alcântara having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Macucu's zone, José Carlos Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renan de Alcântara came out of the goal and José Carlos Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had been going on for 89 minutes, Macucu's Mário de Medeiros got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Flávio Vaz. 96 minutes into the match, Macucu's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fábio Quintal came free, but Renan de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
