After 20 played minutes, Colorado's Renatinho Velasco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Laércio Reis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Colorado reached it. In the 21st minute, Sílvio da Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mattosinhos FC's Laércio Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique de Alcântara in the 26th minute of play. Felipe de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Marcelo Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Enrique de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laércio Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alberto Paraense was the one to do the kick off. Colorado's Sílvio da Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Colorado's Marcelo Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Paraense in the 56th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Sílvio da Silveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laércio Reis was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Laércio Reis was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Sílvio da Silveira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sílvio da Silveira really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. During the 67th minute of the match Alberto Paraense completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alberto Paraense a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Mattosinhos FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Alberto Paraense hit a great ball. If Enrique de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Laércio Reis managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Colorado's Enrique de Alcântara fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Enrique de Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artur Neiva charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artur Neiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Colorado's Artur Neiva got a free kick in the 84th minute. Sílvio da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 minutes, Luís Fábio Siqueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colorado and the Mattosinhos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Sílvio da Silveira sped through Mattosinhos FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Laércio Reis.
