After a rather tough play, Itumirim's Marcinho Leal got a free kick in the 10th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Manfredo Valladares kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ernesto Eger. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. Manfredo Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Eger having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Manfredo Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernesto Eger made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Duarte da Silva sent off a good shot on target. Itumirim were furious when Marcus Torres was red carded, 31 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Itumirim's Abelardo Leal got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Itumirim's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Duarte da Silva in the 56th minute. Marcinho Leal was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Manfredo Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Ernesto Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. S.E. Paixão Verde's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manfredo Valladares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Gilvan Mota hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After 91 minutes, Gilvan Mota mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.E. Paixão Verde and the Itumirim players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in S.E. Paixão Verde fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! The referee gave Itumirim a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Duarte da Silva, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of S.E. Paixão Verde's Ernesto Eger. 5-0. Itumirim walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
