Bruno Ribeiro's late challenge caught a Fenerbatman's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Ribeiro helped the player get up and apologised. Bruno Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. If Luiz Fábio Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Nico de Andrade in the 11th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Fenerbatman's Adilson Pena. Luiz Fábio Quintal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernardinho Paraense having to make a save. Bruno Ribeiro was shown his second yellow card after 14 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Capalazia! The referee gave Fenerbatman a penalty, 17 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by José Carlos Alcântara, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Capalazia's Bernardinho Paraense. 1-1. Edu Pombals short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Flávio Vaz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 25 minutes of play, Fenerbatman's José Carlos Alcântara made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardinho Paraense was left in no man's land by his defense there! 29 minutes into the match, José Carlos Alcântara notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Capalazia's Bernardinho Paraense. Bernardinho Paraense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 32 minutes into the match, Capalazia's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fábio Quintal came free, but Bernardinho Paraense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardinho Paraense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Carlos Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute, Lucas Aguiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edu Pombal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Flávio Vaz made a huge save. After 45 minutes, Gilvan da Silva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fenerbatman and the Capalazia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gilvan da Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Luiz Fábio Quintal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardinho Paraense was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. After the first half Fenerbatman were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Carlos Alcântara to strike the kick off in the second half. Edu Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flávio Vaz came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Capalazia's Edu Pombal. But to his dismay, Edu Pombal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. After having played for 66 minutes, Luiz Fábio Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fenerbatman's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Fábio Quintal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fenerbatman's José Carlos Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ademar Leme fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Capalazia's protests and gave Ademar Leme a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Fenerbatman booed when Capalazia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fábio Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Bernardinho Paraense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rdth minute of the game José Carlos Alcântara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Capalazia's Bernardinho Paraense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nico de Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Luiz Fábio Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Carlos Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fenerbatman played a much better game than Capalazia and deserved their victory. The Capalazia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
