Los Bigodes's Pedro Luís Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fábio Quintal in the 19th minute of play. The throw-in from Franklin Diniz in the 23rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Fenerbatman's Adilson Pena. In the 25th minute Luiz Fábio Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Benjamin Toscano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Flávio Vaz. That made the score 1-0 in the 27 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marquinhos Duarte got free with Flávio Vaz in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dino Travassos kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Dino Travassos charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for S.E. Los Bigodes. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Carlos Alcântara to strike the kick off in the second half. Caetano Lopez kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marquinhos Duarte in the 60th minute of play forced Fenerbatman's goalkeeper Flávio Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, S.E. Los Bigodes's goal looked a bit too open when José Carlos Alcântara came free, but Pedro Luís Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marquinhos Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Vaz having to interfere. Luiz Fábio Quintal's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pedro Luís Valle firmly grabbed it by the left post. S.E. Los Bigodes's György Cseh got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Flávio Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Travassos in the 70th minute of play. György Cseh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Flávio Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marquinhos Duarte in the 74th minute of play forced Fenerbatman's goalkeeper Flávio Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, S.E. Los Bigodes's György Cseh got a free kick in the 75th minute. Franklin Diniz scored 4-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flávio Vaz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 82 minutes into the game, S.E. Los Bigodes's Franklin Diniz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Flávio Vaz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0.
