Figueiredo FC's Duarte Cardozo suffered a sore thigh after 20 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Geovânio Mendonça fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mattao SS's protests and gave Geovânio Mendonça a yellow card for diving instead. Mattao SS's Téo Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Mattao SS from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Eduardo Botelho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlos Eduardo Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. The audience was convinced that Carlos Eduardo Botelho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Gaúcho was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. After 93 minutes of play, Mattao SS's Carlos Eduardo Botelho made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuel Gaúcho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mattao SS's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
