The referee ignored FeijoFlu's protests and gave Pedro Augusto Ortiz a yellow card for diving instead. Pedro Augusto Ortiz hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Chloe's Ruy Baiano tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Chloe's Ian de Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luiz Martins in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Ruy Baiano sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FeijoFlu's Ruy Quirino didn't even have to move. Ruy Quirino was a little too slow when Sílvio Luís Brodel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-0. Ruy Quirino made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Abelardo Leal sent off a good shot on target. Ruy Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luís Brodel in the 30th minute of the match. When André Luiz Martins came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the FeijoFlu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Luiz Martins couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, Chloe's Délio Britto seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Délio Britto the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Chloe protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Délio Britto had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave FeijoFlu a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vânderson Teles, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Chloe's Ian de Salles. 1-1. Franklin Costa hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Carlos Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Ian de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Franklin Costa in the 53rd minute of play forced FeijoFlu's goalkeeper Ruy Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FeijoFlu booed when Chloe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Bastos didn't get a good kick on the ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 59th minute, but Ian de Salles got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Chloe hanging dry this time. When Abelardo Leal came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Chloe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Leal couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the FeijoFlu defense, Abelardo Leal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruy Quirino. The FeijoFlu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruy Quirino should have stopped the shot. Abelardo Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute, André Luiz Martins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute, Carlos Ortiz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ian de Salles, passed just outside the right post. 97 minutes into the match, Chloe's goal looked a bit too open when André Luiz Martins came free, but Ian de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
