Geovani Neto was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 83rd minute. Medeiros's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Franklin Ferreira charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franklin Ferreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Franklin Ferreira hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Medeiros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Loureiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geovani Neto struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Geraldo Brodel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Medeiros. Anselmo Neto hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The Tangente FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
