After a defensive mix-up in Medeiros's zone, Acácio Zonta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Arantes came out of the goal and Acácio Zonta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miguel Loureiro hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Acácio Zonta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jaime Arantes was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Jaime Arantes came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by JUJUBA FC's Acácio Zonta. But to his dismay, Acácio Zonta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wesley Moreira during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, JUJUBA FC's Wesley Moreira got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Claudinei Mangueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Loureiro in the 35th minute of the match. Edvaldo Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Medeiros's Jaime Arantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Dantas in the 59th minute of play. Miguel Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Mangueira having to interfere. 66 minutes into the game, David Duarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Medeiros's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JUJUBA FC the free kick. In the 69th minute, Miguel Loureiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudinei Mangueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Miguel Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Medeiros's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Loureiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinei Mangueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Medeiros's Miguel Loureiro got a free kick in the 77th minute. Jaime Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Dantas in the 78th minute of play. Medeiros's Miguel Loureiro got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Miguel Loureiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The JUJUBA FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
