The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chloe's goalkeeper Ian de Salles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nelsinho Schmidt hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Wiliam de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Almir Costa in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ian de Salles saved Chloe from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Abelardo Leal got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 28 minutes into the game, Tangente FC's Luiz Gustavo Trigo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ian de Salles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Umberto Dionísio charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Umberto Dionísio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Luiz Gustavo Souza fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tangente FC's protests and gave Luiz Gustavo Souza a yellow card for diving instead. Luiz Gustavo Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Tangente FC's Luiz Gustavo Trigo got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Gustavo Trigo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sílvio Luís Brodel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the match, Chloe's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Gustavo Trigo came free, but Ian de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Abelardo Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Chloe booed when Tangente FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eurico Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geraldo Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Brodel in the 69th minute of play. Sílvio Luís Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo Brodel having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Abelardo Leal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chloe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Chloe's Ian de Salles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Chloe from getting a goal against them. After 85 minutes of play, Chloe's Sílvio Luís Brodel made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geraldo Brodel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wiliam de Almeida's late challenge caught a Tangente FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wiliam de Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. After 88 played minutes Chloe got a freekick which was hit by Wiliam de Almeida. Franklin Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franklin Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Franklin Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 96th minute Wiliam de Almeida suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Luiz Gustavo Souza was shown his second yellow card after 96 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
