Medeiros's Jaime Arantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luiz Martins in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute, Miguel Loureiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Geovani Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in FeijoFlu's zone, Miguel Loureiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruy Quirino came out of the goal and Miguel Loureiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the FeijoFlu defense, Geovani Neto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruy Quirino. The FeijoFlu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruy Quirino should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in FeijoFlu's zone, Geovani Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruy Quirino came out of the goal and Geovani Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miguel Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Quirino having to interfere. David Duarte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute, Tostão Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Geovani Neto hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, Medeiros's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Palmeira came free, but Jaime Arantes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Medeiros's Miguel Loureiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ruy Quirino. That made the score 1-2 after 93 minutes of play. When André Luiz Martins came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the FeijoFlu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Luiz Martins couldn't finish the play. Medeiros played a much better game than FeijoFlu and deserved their victory. The FeijoFlu players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
