Geraldo Brodel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulysses Lima went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

55 minutes into the game, Haroldo Ferreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.F.J Dimitr Siekerka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tangente FC the free kick. The supporters of Tangente FC booed when C.F.J Dimitr Siekerka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulysses Lima in the 61st minute of play forced Tangente FC's goalkeeper Geraldo Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C.F.J Dimitr Siekerka's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulysses Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geraldo Brodel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Almir Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Almir Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Washington Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tangente FC's Geraldo Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulysses Lima in the 83rd minute of play. In the 90th minute Luiz Gustavo Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Ediberto Valle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 96 played minutes C.F.J Dimitr Siekerka got a freekick which was hit by Rui Araújo.
