After some careless play in the VSKG Clube defense, Narciso Nogueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Godoi. The VSKG Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Godoi should have stopped the shot. José Vítor Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Magalhães in the 40th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute, Maurício da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Shadow of Nightmare FC's zone, Rodrigo Vianna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Vítor Veiga came out of the goal and Rodrigo Vianna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
