The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvério Passos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FERTIFLORA FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Silvério Passos hit a great ball. Gugu Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateus Zanette having to interfere. In the 15th minute Carlos Fernando Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus Zanette saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tadeu Peres during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th match minute, FERTIFLORA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeu Peres to maneuver through the defense. Mateus Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gugu Furtado in the 19th minute of the match. Geovânio Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Carlos Fernando Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Faustão Furtado had several of the Salsas's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 27 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Ramón Godoi as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind FERTIFLORA FC's goalkeeper Mateus Zanette, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gugu Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FERTIFLORA FC's Mateus Zanette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gugu Furtado in the 36th minute of play. Gugu Furtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the match, FERTIFLORA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernando Hermes came free, but Mateus Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes Salsas got a freekick which was hit by Jarbas de Sena. Faustão Furtado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Ramón Godoi when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Fernando Hermes to make the kick off. Mateus Zanette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Fernando Hermes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. One of FERTIFLORA FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Salsas:s goal. When the match had been going on for 59 minutes, Salsas's Luís Fabiano Furtado got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Mateus Zanette. Gugu Furtado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Mateus Zanette made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustão Furtado in the 68th minute of play forced Salsas's goalkeeper Ramón Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FERTIFLORA FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luciano de Azevedo in the 70th minute. A nice corner shot did that Luciano de Azevedo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ramón Godoi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 72nd minute, Gugu Furtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Salsas's Juarês Mello slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mateus Zanette. That made the score 1-2 after 74 minutes of play. A collision led to Salsas getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Gugu Paulista hit a great ball. Faustão Furtado struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Ramón Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FERTIFLORA FC. With a little luck, FERTIFLORA FC's Mateus Zanette got control of the ball when Gugu Furtado tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faustão Furtado in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramón Godoi saved Salsas from getting behind. When FERTIFLORA FC's Faustão Furtado in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Salsas's goalie prevented a goal. 86 minutes into the match, FERTIFLORA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernando Hermes came free, but Mateus Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faustão Furtado in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramón Godoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Fernando Hermes in the 94th minute of play forced FERTIFLORA FC's goalkeeper Mateus Zanette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Salsas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Salsas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
