Betinho Carioca hit a great ball. In the 41st match minute, Black Star Wings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulisses Trancoso to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Black Star Wings's zone, Guga Pimenta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beto Damião came out of the goal and Guga Pimenta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mário Jacinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto Damião having to interfere. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Black Star Wings!

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Beto Trigo to strike the kick off in the second half. Mário Jacinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 63 minutes, Guga Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fluminense FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guga Pimenta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zé Pedro Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laerte Pimenta in the 69th minute of play. Black Star Wings's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fluminense FC the free kick. In the 95th match minute, Black Star Wings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléberson Marques to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 98th minute by Mário Jacinto got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
