A hard shot 3 in the game by Murillo Capixaba from a close distance when the talented Agnaldo Bezerra managed to make a qualified save. Macaiba AF's players were relieved. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Narciso Nogueira in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Agnaldo Bezerra saved Macaiba AF from getting behind. Natanael Meireles hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Murillo Capixaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agnaldo Bezerra having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Shadow of Nightmare FC's zone, Alexsandro Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Vítor Veiga came out of the goal and Alexsandro Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Shadow of Nightmare FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Murillo Capixaba hit a great ball. Shadow of Nightmare FC's Narciso Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Macaiba AF's goalkeeper Agnaldo Bezerra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexsandro Fernandes in the 47th minute of play forced Shadow of Nightmare FC's goalkeeper José Vítor Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Narciso Nogueira made the kick off in the second half. Agnaldo Bezerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murillo Capixaba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Marcinho Arósio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Vítor Veiga made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Sidney Tróia sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sidney Tróia got free with José Vítor Veiga in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Vítor Veiga was a little too slow when Sidney Tróia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-1. José Vítor Veiga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sidney Tróia in the 76th minute. In the 79th match minute, Shadow of Nightmare FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcinho Arósio to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Sidney Tróia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Murillo Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruy da Silveira hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, Narciso Nogueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Agnaldo Bezerra was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In a very dangerous position, a player in Macaiba AF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! Macaiba AF:s Agnaldo Bezerra showed great skill when he stopped Marcinho Arósio:s penalty.
