Spectators: 7356 (Terracing: 5518, Seating: 1691, VIP seats: 147) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Arnaldo Travassos took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Marcinho Saldanha hit a great ball. Reação São Paulina's Adelino Varela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Reação São Paulina from getting a goal against them. In the 18th minute of the match, Marcinho Saldanha got a very nice opportunity to score, but Adelino Varela was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Corinthians were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Reação São Paulina's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcinho Saldanha took the corner. Noel Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Varela having to interfere. After 23 played minutes Reação São Paulina got a freekick which was hit by Zeca Alvarenga. Adelino Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Travassos in the 26th minute of the match. In the 31st minute Arnaldo Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adelino Varela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcinho Saldanha went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Marcinho Saldanha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Adelino Varela skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Adelino Varela made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Marcinho Saldanha sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oswaldo Jacinto was the one to do the kick off. Adelino Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcinho Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Adelino Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Travassos in the 53rd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Reação São Paulina's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Travassos came free, but Adelino Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Marcinho Saldanha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adelino Varela. Reação São Paulina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcinho Saldanha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Marcinho Saldanha took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adelino Varela. Adelino Varela dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. 8-0 became the score in the 72nd minute when Arnaldo Travassos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Arnaldo Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Adelino Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adelino Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcinho Saldanha in the 79th minute of the match. Marcinho Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adelino Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Travassos in the 84th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Tarcisio Antunes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adelino Varela. Reação São Paulina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tarcisio Antunes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. Reação São Paulina's Adelino Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcinho Saldanha in the 94th minute of play. Luiz Fernando Ceresso kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnaldo Travassos in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adelino Varela saved Reação São Paulina from getting behind. When the referee ended the match the Corinthians players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
