With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faustão Furtado in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesinha Messias saved Maracas from getting behind. Eugênio Domingues struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Cesinha Messias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FERTIFLORA FC. Maracas's Cesinha Messias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Maracas from getting a goal against them. Faustão Furtado might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cesinha Messias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Faustão Furtado ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Eugênio Domingues kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cesinha Messias. That made the score 1-0 in the 38 minute of play. Faustão Furtado scored 2-0 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cesinha Messias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Cesinha Messias managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when FERTIFLORA FC's Faustão Furtado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

In the 51st minute, Faustão Furtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 54th minute, Faustão Furtado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cesinha Messias was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The audience was convinced that Faustão Furtado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cesinha Messias was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cesinha Messias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gláuber Prata's late challenge caught a FERTIFLORA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gláuber Prata helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Maracas's Gláuber Prata got a free kick in the 79th minute. FERTIFLORA FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
