But to his dismay, Iuri Abreu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Arnaldo Travassos struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. José Vítor Veiga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corinthians. Arnaldo Travassos took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Vítor Veiga. José Vítor Veiga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Corinthians booed when Shadow of Nightmare FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murillo Capixaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcinho Saldanha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for José Vítor Veiga. Shadow of Nightmare FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Shadow of Nightmare FC's Marcinho Arósio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Shadow of Nightmare FC's Murillo Capixaba came free and shot a quick shot against goal 23 minutes in the game, fortunately Enéas Recife had problems saving as it came toward the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Nogueira in the 25th minute of play forced Corinthians's goalkeeper Enéas Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Shadow of Nightmare FC booed when Corinthians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frédson Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute of the match Luiz Paulo Carioca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enéas Recife skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 31 minutes, Eliseu Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shadow of Nightmare FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseu Veloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Narciso Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shadow of Nightmare FC's Murillo Capixaba suffered a sore foot after 34 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 34 minutes into the game, Noel Quintal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corinthians's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shadow of Nightmare FC the free kick. In the 35th match minute, Corinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Quintal to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 47 minutes, Enéas Recife successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnaldo Travassos to make the kick off. Shadow of Nightmare FC's José Vítor Veiga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Shadow of Nightmare FC from getting a goal against them. 66 minutes into the game, Eliseu Veloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shadow of Nightmare FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corinthians the free kick. In the 66th minute, Eliseu Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute of the match, Arnaldo Travassos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but José Vítor Veiga saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Shadow of Nightmare FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Eliseu Veloso hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Corinthians's José Vítor Veiga threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arnaldo Travassos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Shadow of Nightmare FC's goalkeeper José Vítor Veiga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th match minute, Corinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisão de Salles to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute Narciso Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enéas Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Shadow of Nightmare FC's corner Eliseu Veloso fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Enéas Recife quite easily take care of the ball. After having played for 87 minutes, Eliseu Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a defensive mix-up in Shadow of Nightmare FC's zone, Arnaldo Travassos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Vítor Veiga came out of the goal and Arnaldo Travassos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the match, Shadow of Nightmare FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Travassos came free, but José Vítor Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Marcinho Saldanha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
